We stumbled upon this place while driving through and looking for lunch. The restaurant was packed with people (mostly tourists) so we decided to give it a go. It was clean and nice and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a peek at the rooms as we went to the bathroom and they all looked quite nice. The place is run by a Flemish woman who herself stands behind the bar helping out and talking to guests. Definitely recommend it for the food and service. We can't say much about the quality of sleeping, but we will keep this place in mind, next time we pass through.
- Great restaurant for lunch break - Sofie
Melissa's guest house is a cosy establishment just on the way from/to Etosha, and worth a visit. The whole layout is simple yet stylish with a wooden decoration here and there. The rooms are nice, clean and provide enough space to unpack.
The whole safari feel is quite nice as well. The staff is informed on what to see in the surroundings, Himba village is highly recommendable.
Dinner is offered, the steaks were a very good choice indeed.
Overall very pleasant experience, highly recommendable as a place to break your journey between Etosha and whichever destination you might have next!

An intersection is all that constitutes Kamanjab, a transit point on the way to Chobe National Park. In a few minutes you can visit everything: a supermarket, the post office, some shops and the houses of the premises. The Guest House is 100 meters from the supermarket, nice and ideal for one night. Indoor restaurant with typical dishes.

After the total breakdown of our rental campervan in between Dolomite en Olifantsrus Rest Camp in Etosha, Park Rangers evacuated us to Melissa's Guesthouse in Kamanjab. A ride of 130 km! The (Belgian) manager and staff were very helpful during our unlucky stay. Lovely clean rooms, nice shower and good beds. Nice breakfast as well and a good bar (for ''unstressing'' ;o). They are still working on upgrading the place to higher standards. If all the work is done and the swimmimg pool area with lovely garden is ready, this is the place to be for your stopover to Etosha. Kamanjab is a tiny village with 2 filling stations, a small supermarket and a few shops.
- Campervan breakdown, Etosha Rangers brought us to Melissa's guesthouse
what a lovely surprise to find this lovely stop in the middle of no-where. very comfortable rooms, good shower and very friendly manager and staff. Delicious evening meal and breakfast. Staff and local group gave an excellent dance and music show after dinner. The spirit amongst the group was remarkable and many guests join them in dancing.
Wish you all the success for the future.
